I’ve been quiet for a while but no cause for worry. I am perfectly fine, taking life one day at a time. I did not intend for this intro to rhyme but why not it has a nice chime. Haha! Please forgive my poetic skills or the lack thereof. 

I have meant to change the name of this blog but every time I come up with something it has already been taken by someone else. Sigh. This process reinforced a life lesson that you can’t always have what you want. Instead of wasting energy on being frustrated and forcing things that are not meant to be, just accept the situation and find alternative ways to make it work.

This tiny virtual space of mine is now aptly called ‘Mundanely Yours‘. I don’t have a niche. I write just about anything that comes to me – experiences and thoughts that I find interesting or amusing but might be silly or boring for others.

I do not live an exciting life according to the standards that this world has set. I barely go anywhere or do anything. Don’t get me wrong though, I would love to travel and do something exhilarating in this lifetime.

But right now, I am where I am and just by being ‘here’ I get to notice and appreciate the little things that make up my existence. The touch of the chilly winter wind on my face, the flock of birds resting on the rooftops, the clanking of a bicycle passing by me, the sound of the raging waves, the ray of sunshine hitting my eyes, the early morning stillness…

We don’t always have to go big to enjoy life. Oftentimes, we just need to be more feeling of our surroundings. Find the extra in the ordinary and celebrate the mundane.
